My Praise

I am reminded that each day i am here- there is a purpose for me to fulfill. That purpose is to PRAISE MY HEAVENLY FATHER WITH MY LIFE! I got the new Lecrae CD- rehab, i recommend it to everyone because of his amazing lyrics are so true and they touch my heart. "I’ll use my life, I’ll use my lips. I’ll live in such a way that it reflects to You, my Praise."- lecrae This is my desire to be more like Christ, to use every single part of my being and reflect HIM! That is my prayer while i am here & to anywhere i go in life that i may reflect My praise.

"i just wanna be like You, walk like, talk like, even think like You ...the only One i could look to...You're teaching me to be just like You ♥"

We had a meeting with all the Deaf leaders on the island. Here are most of our leaders. we had a successful and great meeting together. I was so excited to see everyone in the same room and to describe this day in one word i would chose "joyful". Our ministry is like family and these people have so much love it's beautiful. It is beautiful how they show their care for me even as a short term missionary. I have built relationships among these people and i am so blessed to know them. Pray for them as they continue to lead the Deaf in their Pueblo. Also, i got to share about the CODA ministry- we will be having 3 more CODA girl retreats. They will only be 24 hours :) WOOOOO- all nighter retreats are awesome!

The dates of the retreats:

*October 22 & 23
* November 12 & 13
* December 10 & 11

Please be praying for these retreats- that girls come and truly get to fellowship & study the word of God. Also, pray for extra helpers who can help me during these retreats. I am excited to see what God has in store for these retreats. Pray for my time here as i draw nearer to coming back to the States. Thinking about returning to the states makes me sad already because i know i have built relationships that i cherish so much here that i can't bear to leave- these people have impacted my life so deeply. Pray for me & for the rest of my time here at this moment. God is beautiful :)

These are some of my CODAs in the Deaf church in Florida. This picture was from last Wednesday night service. They took my camera and started freezing some memories for me :) These kids make me joyful and we always have such a blast each Wednesday night- trust me, it's never boring especially with the two little kids you see in the foto.

One mudslide we conquered in the BIG RED guagua (van)

Last Sunday, i brought my group of people to Aguadilla (it felt great to be back after 2 weeks of vehicle problems in our ministry- pray we can get our vehicles straighten out- the toyota that was wrecked is still sitting in our garage waiting for a little man "adjustor" to tell us what to do with it. Our mini van is in dire need of an alignment because of a broken part and the big red van needs shock absorbers so people won't have whip lash on the HUGE potholes of Puerto Rico jeje). Aguadilla Deaf Church went so well that around 50 Deaf people came to worship our Savior CHRIST! It was such a joy to be there and to see many people- familiar and new faces! Continue to pray for our church missions especially our Hormigerous mission (the church fell a few months ago so that is why i am bringing some of the members to the Aguadilla Church, they enjoy it there too.). Pray we can find a new church for the Deaf near their area to worship.

.
After church on Sunday, i felt like i needed to get out (since it has been flooding and pouring the last couple of days) and just soak up some sun. Jason joined me and brought his little doggie, Maggie. I have to admit i am a huge dog lover, i just never had any luck with cats (they just scratch me all the time and never want me to pet them). It was nice to just hang out with jason, maggie and God's creation that i simply love (the beach/ la playa).

I've changed- now i'm something different
i've changed- i love the way i'm living
i've changed- He saved me from my own sin
i've changed- i learned how to live again|
-Lecrae (Used to do it too)

Until next time- keep praying for the CODA & Deaf Ministry here in Puerto Rico.

  1. Ezelis! How exciting to catch up on what God is doing in your life, and what you are doing for Him! :D The scenery picture at the top of this looks like a little pull off to the right of the road with concrete steps, some lights and a flag pole. Might not be the same one, but I went to PR the first of the year to visit a CK friend (from my 2nd summer) in Isabella and this looks like on the way there from San Juan :) Well, I'm just soo happy for you getting to combine all your passions into one! Missions, Spanish, and Sign Language. You are amazing Ezelis, and I'm glad to have met you! Keep living for Him!! Have you seen any squirrels there in Puerto Rico? lol. PS. I love my mom!
