Happy November EVERYONE!
The last time i updated you all was in September and it is now November. The whole month of October was the busiest month of my life. A lot of life changes has happened since the summer and they are good things. A lot of exciting things are happening and it just proves to me how evident the Lord is present in my life.
I moved into an apartment in the big city of Spartanburg, SC and i am loving it. It feels weird to actually have my own room, my own closet and not having to live out a suitcase. Moving has made me go through a lot of things that i own and it has made me look back on my life to see where i came from. I am so thankful for my Savior and for all the experiences He has used to GROW me. Praise God for His constant faithfulness and His eternal love.
Another blessing is i have an amazing roommate- her name is Sandi. Even though we hardly see each other because we both work crazy hours, it is such a joy to be able to room with a Godly woman. She encourages me a lot and it is exciting! It is great getting to know her and hang out with her when i can.
*We are signing roommates* Whoo hoo!
October 15th was my favorite day of the month of October-why you may ask? One of the BEST friends got married, Amanda HH :) I was her maid of honor and it was such an honor to be beside her on her big day. Not only did i get to beside her, i got to be in the box while they said their vows and etc (that means i was literally right beside her). During the whole ceremony ( i did not think i would get emotional, but i did- i cried!!) I cried because there was so much joy and celebration of their marriage- it has been a long road and to see them unite under God was beautiful! Amanda and Chris are the cutest ever & it is definitely evident that God has brought these two together. I have seen God grow them both so much and it has brought me joy. I know that in their marriage they will bring glory to God as they serve in ministry. Amanda, i am so glad your day was beautiful and i was so excited to be able to rejoice with you on your special day! Love you both and i am excited to see what more God does through you two!
The Fun Corner Meets again... <3
:`) Beautiful
Amanda & Chris :)
These verses have really been impressed on my heart for the past month:
* Philippians 4:6-7 *
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
The LORD your God in your midst,
The Mighty One, will save;
He will rejoice over you with gladness,
He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing
He will rejoice over you with gladness,
He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing
El SEñOR tu Dios está en medio de ti,
Guerrero victorioso;
Se gozará en ti con alegría,
En Su amor guardará silencio,
Se regocijará por ti con cantos de júbilo
Guerrero victorioso;
Se gozará en ti con alegría,
En Su amor guardará silencio,
Se regocijará por ti con cantos de júbilo
The verse in Philippians really taught me how to approach my prayers with God. I was faced with a huge prayer that was on my heart this past month. I had to constantly pray to the Lord for an answer, for guidance and the Lord brought me comfort to know everything is in HIS hands. His peace truly did surpass my understanding. When God shows up, HE SHOWS OUT and makes it known He is God. He constantly blows me away at how much He truly does listen to me and how much He loves me. It blew me away to the point all i could do was cry tears of joy and He put me in absolute awe of how powerful HE truly is. The Zephaniah verse just dwells in my heart to know that He rejoices over me- that He sees me worthy of love. He died for ME just so the space that was between God and I could be removed. He saw a problem, a sin problem- we all have it.. you and me.
I have been reading The King's Cross (gracias Allen for this book, it has been a blessing to me) and it has really made me think a LOT. In Genesis 1 & 2 we see that we were created to live in a world in which all relationships were whole but as the book goes on in Chapter 3 we see that each of us has chosen to be our own king. We focus on ourselves and it destroys relationships. A true King has made a way for us, He has come in and wiped our slate clean of our sin problem. He took away our sin so we were able to have that relationship that is WHOLE! How exciting!! This is the gospel- "A gospel is an announcement of something that has happened in history, something that's been done for you that changes your status forever." Are we living like the gospel has changed our LIVES? That is my challenge to myself and i pray that others can see that.
Life has been an adventure so far in the past few months and so much growth has happened. Many blessings have happened that i am excited to share them in the following blogs coming soon- there is so much to say but i guess you'll just have to wait until next time.... oxox
Abrazos :)
also i tried to upload a video but it's not working... i'll put it up next time!
Thanks for this friend! It brings me so much joy to hear how God is at work in your life!
