Beginnings...

Feliz Navidad a todos- almost time ;)

As i sit here and reflect on this day, i am in awe at what the Lord has done in my life. I am so honored and blessed to be a chosen child of the KING. He chose me, He had my life in His hands when He created me. He made me in His imagine and He knew exactly what He had in mind when He created me. If i knew what the Lord had in store for my life, i probably would have tried to convicted God to take a different direction and if that were the case; i would not be the same person, right now typing this. I am so thankful that WE DO not know what lies ahead because quite frankly if we did, we would be afraid of what we would have to face. Praise Him for HIM being God and not me.

Right before i blogged i read my entry from last December and this is where i was in my life at that time- take a peek : http://ezelis.blogspot.com/2010/12/5-dias-mas.html When i read that entry, i was reminded of how amazing the Lord is. I miss Puerto Rico & the people that i grew  with and invested in there. I hope and pray that soon i am able to go back and visit my island. Yes, i know what you are thinking? MY island? It is another place i can call home, i spent a year of my life there and it will always be home. Continue to be praying for Puerto Rico Deaf Ministries & that they continue to reach the Deaf there. Not only the Deaf but their children- CODAs :)

Deaf & CODA Youngin's

Not a day goes by when i do not think about these two precious girls

I miss these people SO MUCH!
Val, Vilma, Jayson & yo

Speaking of missing people from Puerto Rico- Next Saturday, Dec 10th, I have a special visitor coming to me from the island. My hermana, Cristina Pereira :) I am so excited!!! It will be her very first time in South Carolina and she is just coming to visit me. That is true friendship right there ladies and gentleman :) She is the girl that i would always make videos with and we would take funny photo shoots in Puerto Rico. I am so excited to reunite with my sister in the states and to have some fresh air! Here is a goofy video we made when i first arrived there: This girl always bring laughter to my face!!!! :)
Cristina has no idea but when she arrives, we are going to make so many videos and take so many pictures, it's going to be amazing!!

I am still reading the book, "The King's Cross", i have been taking my time with it because it is JUST so good  that i do not want to speed through it. It has a lot of depth to it and it really makes me think about the cross. I wanted to share this with you all because the Lord just put me in awe of this:

"All human beings, he says- even people who from childhood were deprived of love- know the difference between false and true love, fake and authentic love. In false love your aim is to use the other person to fulfill your happiness. Your love is conditional: You give it only as long as the person is affirming you and meeting your needs. And it's non vulnerable: You hold back so that you can cut your losses if necessary. But in true love, your aim is to spend yourself for the happiness of the other, because YOUR greatest JOY is that person's JOY. Therefore your affection is unconditional: You give regardless of whether your loved one is meeting your needs. And it's radically vulnerable: You spend everything, hold nothing back, give it all away. Our real problem is, is that nobody is actually fully capable of giving true love.
-We invest our love only where we know we'll get a good return-
(how much is this truth in our own lives? It was in mine)

I know someone who gives love like that- JESUS CHRIST! If we accept His love quite possibly we will learn to love like He does. No holding back, and giving it all it takes. This is what the gospel is all about, we are longing to seek for something that will fill us up and make us have true value. That something we are looking for, is only fulfilled in Christ. Once we have that relationship with Christ, it will enable us to love our friends and family for who they are and not seek more from them, because i can find whatever is lacking IN CHRIST.

Until time time- Sonrisas, Abrazos, Christmas Music and joyful smiles
