Hola from the mountain tops
Happy Friday EVERYONE! I hope you all are doing super well. Since i have landed on Monday i have been running around the island. Today i get to stay in the office and really have to time to sit down, plan out lessons plans for this weekend & camp (next week).
A lot is ahead and exciting things are to come- be praying for us.
Tuesday night I got to spend time with a CODA and we had quite the experience. I was driving the Gua-Gua (van) in Ponce and on the way home, the van started to run HOT. We stopped the car in La Guancha, the beach, near the office to make sure it cooled down. We opened the hood and about five minutes later, cops came and helped us. It worked out perfectly and we knew that the Lord really did provide for us that night. My first night on the island and of course, car problems would arise. We were able to share with the cops about Puerto Rico Deaf Ministries and about what our ministry is about. They were a great help and it was definitely an adventure. Sandra & I drove away just smiling and in awe of cool our God really is. He helps those in need and we needed water in our van!
The next day we brought the gua-gua to the mechanic and discovered the radiator was cracked. NO bueno! We had to wait for the repairs and praise God it was able to be fixed that day. After the van was fixed, Sandra and I ventured up the mountains to attend church in Florida (not the state, but the city here in Puerto Rico). We drove up to her house and then went to church. It was a great reunion at the church. I found two of my sweet CODAs there :) They were so excited that they were jumping on me ( i may have a bruise or two from them ha ha). They are precious and getting to see them made my day!
:) q lindos! They have grown up so much. Also- the little girl accepted Jesus about a month ago, praise be to God and for Sandra who has been teaching them since i left the island. God is so good!
He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.

Tomorrow a group of Deaf will be coming from the Dominican Republic and we will all gather in Florida, PR to have an event at the Baptist church there. I am so excited to spend time with them and the church there. Then on Sunday, i will be going to Abonito/Orcovis (more mountains) for church. It is a new church in that area with MANY DEAF! It is unreal how many Deaf there are in that area. I am so excited because there are 3 young ladies there who are hungry for the word of God and hungry for TRUTH. One lady is my age and she just accepted Christ- i am excited to meet her and really get to talk to her about the Lord. Pray for me as i travel this weekend and also prepare for camp. I am getting anxious about all the things that will happen and it is a blessing to know that i have friends who tell me, "Ezzy- relax, the Lord is in control". I love these people.
Not only am i getting to just serve these churches but i am getting to see ALL my friends. In less than a week i have gotten to see all of my closest friends on the island. It has been such a blessing, but one friend is actually in the state of Georgia and i miss her. When i return to the states i will get to visit with her :) The Lord is so good to me. Later on, i will blog about these wonderful people who have meant so much to me. Also, to all my family & friends in the states- thank you for your encouragements, emails, text, phone calls, & etc! Just knowing that i have people praying for me, willing to send more money support, who send me random encouragement notes- really means so much to me. I am one blessed lady and i am so thankful for wonderful people in my life!
Praying for you all! Pray for us and if you would like to be apart of what this ministry is doing or want to send notes of encouragement (I LOVE MAIL). Here is my address :)
