La Guancha Boardwalk

One of my new favorite places to go in Puerto Rico- it's the boardwalk and tons of people go there :) It's La Guancha! Que bonita- si? (How pretty, yes?)


*Tonight- i get to go by a nearby church and hopefully make some new friends there. Thanks for the prayers. More updates to come later this week about the church.


This weekend is the Deaf marriage retreat in Puerto Rico- I am going (yes, i know.. i'm single and i am going on a marriage retreat hahaha) My purpose is to go and work with the CODAS. I will be working with 2 little Deaf girls and will be teaching them about Creation. How God started everything.. and what He made- i am SO EXCITED!!! I have come up with fun crafts, games, and found videos. The struggle is that these 2 little Deaf girls (with Deaf parents) hardly know sign language- so while teaching them the story of what God created.. i will be teaching them new signs. God is good!!! Tomorrow is our loading day here at the office of Puerto Rico Deaf ministries- so everything we have for the retreat is being packed up and ready to go for Friday :) i will blog about the weekend when i get back! 


 Also- today i been teaching a guy who works in the office, Jason- who goes by a nearby college here, some sign language-so we are going to each other our first languages- mine being sign language and his spanish :) I think that is a GREAT deal! We had a couple of laughs today - it is such a blessing to have someone the same age as me to work in the office.
